GTA 6 pre-orders — where to buy and what each option includes

Pre-orders are open at all major storefronts. The bonus deadline is November 20, and it applies to purchases as well as pre-orders.

Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto VI opened on June 25, 2026 at midnight local time. Take-Two lists the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store, and global retailers and storefronts as the places to buy it.

US pricing is $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The Rockstar Store displays local currency by region, so the figure at checkout differs outside the United States.

The bonus applies to purchases, not just pre-orders

Take-Two's wording is that all pre-orders and purchases before November 20, 2026 include the Vintage Vice City Pack. Buying on launch day still qualifies. The 20th itself does not.

The pack contains a '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and Garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.

Digital pre-orders additionally include one month of GTA+. Take-Two describes it as instantly redeemable, giving access to the GTA+ Games Library, which includes Grand Theft Auto V and other Rockstar titles. That month is usable now rather than at launch.

Digital or physical

Digital. Pre-load begins at local midnight on November 12, 2026, according to Rockstar Support. Both editions are available digitally.

Physical. The box contains a download code rather than a disc. Rockstar says boxed copies are expected to be available for shipping and pickup from retailers starting November 12, and that codes can be used as soon as they are received. There is no boxed Ultimate Edition; the physical release is Standard Edition only.

A physical copy therefore does not avoid the download, and the pre-load timing is the same either way. Our editions guide covers the differences in what you get.

Upgrading later

Rockstar states that Standard Edition owners can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at any time, through the PlayStation or Microsoft storefronts, once the Standard Edition code has been redeemed. Physical buyers can upgrade after redeeming the code in the box.

The $20 difference is not a closing window.

Region restrictions on codes

Rockstar states that PlayStation code redemption is tied to country groups matching your platform account. North America covers Canada and the United States. The United Kingdom, Japan, Korea and Brazil each form their own group, with separate groupings for LATAM, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the rest of Asia, and a combined EMEA and Asia group. A code bought outside your account's region may not redeem.

Xbox codes are not region-locked, per the same documentation.

Rockstar also notes that product codes in Japan expire 170 days after the issuance date, which is the November 19 launch date, due to regional regulations.

The collector's box

Rockstar sells a separate physical collection, The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, priced at CA$559.99 on the Canadian storefront, with other regions shown in local currency, and described as available while supplies last. The game is not included.

The listed contents are a Macca the Gator figure, Oakley Frogskins sunglasses, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, a New Era 9FORTY snapback, a magnetic mirror, a shot glass, a swizzle spoon, a razor-blade keychain, an enamel pin set, a sticker pack, and a double-sided poster with a map of Leonida on the reverse. The box measures 19 by 13.5 by 12.5 inches, is marked ages 18 and over, and is not eligible for free shipping.
